    About the Artist:
    Tom Radca
is a ceramic artist who specializes in large scale pottery designs. After spending seven years as a commercial potter creating functional wares, he made the leap to creative pottery, thriving with the challenge of large works. Handcrafted in the artist’s rural Ohio barn studio, Radca works with up to 50 pounds of clay at a time on a single potter’s wheel. Radiant warmth and splendor of color are a result of Radca’s thoughtfully designed firing process. He also employs a technique dubbed “Painting with Fire”. After the pieces are removed from the kiln, he applies muratic acid to reveal the brilliant colors underneath.
