The bottom is printed “Moise de Michel Ange par Salvador Dali, grave par P.B. Spalaikovitch, imprime a l’atelier Giraudon a Nice, publie par Magui, France, Octobre 1982” which translates roughly to “Moses of Michelangelo by Salvador Dali, Engraved by PB Spalaikovitch Printed at Studio Giraudon in Nice, France October 1982”. Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower ring corner, numbered 85/300
About the Artist:
Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was a surrealist painter best known for his melting clocks. Dali was born in Spain to a wealthy family who encouraged him to pursue art. He studied in Madrid and later relocated to France where he met Pablo Picasso. His painting's typically featured dream-like motifs as he believed that dreams and imagination should take precedence over marginal human thought. Dali once said, "The only difference between me and a madman is that I'm not mad”. Salvador Dali is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th-century.
