    About the Artist:

    Rudolph Carl Gorman was a Native American artist of the Navajo Nation and was often times referred to as “the Picasso of American Indian Artists”. Gorman works in sculpture, ceramics, and stone lithography but is mainly known for his paintings. He predominantly paints portraits of Native American women characterized by his brilliant colors and fluid forms. Along with his art he was also a chef and authored four cookbooks and crafted illustrations for each book.
