    About the Artist:

Donald Deskey (1894-1989) style evolved greatly throughout his career, and this piece is representative of this era of his design. The 1930s are when his career really took off: he co-founded the American Union of Decorative Artists and Craftsman (AUDAC), started doing commissions for the Rockefellers, and was then commissioned to design the interiors of Radio City Music Hall.
