    Nice pair of bronze sculptures depicting a man and a woman making their way through cattails. Artist signed Randolph Johnston, dated, 1982, and numbered 11 out of a series of 50. These sculptures rest on their original wood bases,

    About the Artist:

    Randolph Wardell Johnston, born in Toronto, Canada in 1904, was a sculptor, illustrator and craftsperson. Johnston was educated at Central Technical School in Toronto, the University of Toronto, the Ontario College of Art, the School of Arts and Crafts in London, and the Royal Canadian Academy. He also started a foundry and sculpture studio in 1951 at Little Harbour on Abaco Island in the Bahamas, which, after his death on December 18, 1992, continued to be operated by his son Peter, and grandsons Greg and Tyler.
