SOLD This stunning sterling and turquoise necklace is in the Petit Point style of the Zuni Indians. A Petit Point stone is characterized as “a tiny round, oval, rectangle, pear or square shaped stone” that is hand cut but a Zuni Lapidarist. This is unique to Zuni Indians, and cannot be authentic if made anywhere else. This necklace has three panels. The two side sections consist of 16 pear-shaped and 11 circular Petit Point turquoise stones. The center, focal panel also contains 16 pear-shaped and 11 circular Petit Point stones, with the addition of two sterling feather embellishments crowned with a turquoise star (one round, eight pear-shaped). Oblong links hold these panels together to create a cohesive, craftsman-made work of wearable art.
Central pendant: 2.75"W x 2.5"H
