A hand carved sculpture from late Columbus, Ohio artist Lee Csuri(1927-2019). Hand carved from knot free white pine, a playful, mischievous, presentation recalls aesthetic motifs of the Cheshire Cat. An arched spine mimics the stripes painted throughout the body. A yellow canary is carved on each side, adding to the illustrative imagination and a carved base with painted flowers supports the carving.
