    About the Artist:
José Puyet (1922-2004) was a Spanish modern Impressionist painter who was influenced by Renoir, using feathery brushstrokes and soft shades. He was most known for his portraits of voluptuous women. He learned to paint from his grandfather, José Padilla. Besides his service in the Spanish Military, he spent his life as an artist. He lived in poverty before finding great success with solo exhibitions. In 1984, he was named in the publication Who’s Who in Art.
