About the Artist:
Joan Miro (1893-1983) was a Spanish artist, working in painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Born in Barcelona, he has been recognized in his city with a museum dedicated to his life and works. Mainly categorized as Surrealism and at times Fauvism and Expressionism, Miro’s works were experimental and a reflection of the unconscious mind. His work is said to be a visual representation of Catalan price.
