    SOLD Published by Aime Maeght of Galerie Maeght in Paris, France, this lithograph from Joan Miro was done for Derriere le Miroir magazine. Published between 1946 and 1982, the Galerie Maeght was often thought as the most important gallery in the world for contemporary art. This lithograph portrays a large black shape surrounded with black hatching lines and asterisk-like stars.

    About the Artist:

    Joan Miro was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona. Museums were erected in both Barcolona and Palma de Mallorca, he is a famed surrealist artist. Miro’s work was described as a sandbox for the subconscious mind, a re-creation of the childlike, and a manifestation of Catalan pride.
