  • Product description

Thought to be the work of Henry John Boddington, a Victorian English landscape painter and a member of the Williams family of painters. His father was Edward Williams and he had several brothers. To distinguish himself he took his wife's surname. Signed "H J Boddington" and titled "The Blind Piper". Oval wood panel mounted on green velvet in a giltwood frame. Nicely executed genre scene, rare for this artist.
