    About the Artist:
    George LaChance
    was one of Indiana's Brown County artist. He served as President of the Brown County Art Guild. LaChance was born in Utica New York and first moved to Brown county in the 1930's. He studied at the St. Louis Art School prior to coming to Indiana. His work, primarily impressionist landscapes have been broadly exhibited throughout the Midwest including - the Hoosier Salon, the Marshall Field Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Sheldon Swope Art Gallery.
