About the Artist:
Fred Yost (1888-1968) was born in Switzerland and his family settled in Ohio. He was a graduate of the Art Students League and a staff artist for the New York Herald. He served as president of the Ohio Watercolor Society. He loved and created many depictions of the Southwestern landscape during his career.
