    About the artist:
    Eva Holusa Makk
was born in 1933 in Ethiopia. Her father was a diplomat, her mother a Hungarian baroness. She was married to Americo Makk, another well listed artist, and moved to Honolulu. After studying art in Paris, she and her husband were official government artist in Brazil. The two worked together to paint fourteen Catholic churches, cathedrals and basilicas, merging their styles to create cohesive compositions. They spend three months in the Amazon for a painting expedition. In the 1960's, they moved to New York to continue their art careers. One of the world's foremost living impressionist painters as well as an accomplished portrait artist, Makk’s style is full of light and grace.
