    About the Artist:
    Dulce Beatriz (1931-) is a Cuban-born artist who is internationally known for her Impressionist-style paintings. Born in Havana, her family was of Spanish descent. Her father was a baker and her mother was a teacher. Dulce started off studying to become a teacher like her mother before studying music and then art. In 1959, she married Leonardo Beatriz who was a Spanish concert guitarist, art restorer and appraiser. The couple emigrated to Florida the following year, where Dulce exhibited widely. She also exhibited abroad in Spain. Spanning the 1970s and 80s, Beatriz exhibited all across South FLorida in Miami, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale and became well known to local media. She has received many prestigious awards for her art.
