  Great Auk by beloved Cincinnati, Ohio artist Charley Harper. This serigraph originally illustrated for Ford Times depicts a now extinct Great Auk swimming amongst chilling waters in Harper's expressive graphic style.  Signed in the bottom right. 

   

  About the Artist:
  Charley Harper (1922-2007) was an American Modernist artist who continues to be revered by his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he began his art career at Art Academy of Cincinnati. Known for his highly reductionist style of wildlife prints, Harper’s art has been featured in a plethora of publications, including the National Park Service, Cincinnati Zoo, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
