    A Note from the Collector:
"A Thirty Year Curated Collection of Baume et Mercier Swiss Watches"
While working in the Fine Jewelry department of the downtown Columbus Lazarus store in 1989, I fell in love with my first Baume et Mercier watch. It was the "Avant-Garde". This design masterpiece, crafted in solid tungsten carbide steel and 18 karat gold, was unlike any watch, before or since. Sleek. Solid. Beautifully made by a top Swiss Maison d'Horlogerie since 1830.
In the intervening 30 years, I have carefully curated an array of these fine timepieces. Some have gone, but the finest have stayed, including a second Avant Garde. Deciding to offer up this great collection took some consideration. Of course, my original Avant Garde will remain, but many of the rest I offer to the next passionate collector. Wear them in good health!
