    SOLD Reproduced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and signed “July 1987” on the info sheet. This carved water buffalo is a created after a 17th-century piece from the late Ming dynasty-early K’ang-hsi period. It was intended to be an emblem of agriculture and spring as a talisman of good fortune in farming.
